The game was planned to be released on October 19, but now the estimated date of commencement of sales is February 26, 2013.
Irrational Games Creative Director Ken Levine:
- BioShock Infinite will be a very big game. We do things that nobody before us did in first-person shooters.
')
BioShock Infinite is not a direct continuation of the two previous chapters, but the plot lines of the parts will be linked. The game world is the alternative America of the 1920s, the floating city of Colombia, torn apart by two hostile factions.
Ken Levine:
- What does this mean for players? You just need to wait a little more, but then you get a full game. Good can be done better, and we owe it to you, for our fans, for our community.
Ken also noted that there will be no games at E3 and Gamescom exhibitions. The game will be rolled out for review only when it is completely ready and polished.
