Carmageddon reincarnates
A series of revivals of the good old games through crowdfunding continues. Following the successfully financed and launched into production Wasteland 2 and Leisure Suit Larry , Kickstarter began to raise funds for the come-back of the legendary bloody racing.
The team is going to bring this ambitious project to life - the same Stainless Games that the original did. Now the office is mainly engaged in additions for MtG, but, apparently, inspired by the example of the above projects, gentlemen still gathered to prove that they were not covered with rust in the 15 years that have passed since the release of the first part, and are capable of doing something serious. It seems that they can be trusted: the guys started by buying the full rights to the name “Carmageddon” from the publisher. Of those same eight people responsible for humanity for thousands of cars crumpled into an accordion and an unimaginable number of pedestrians killed in sophistication, there are still five in Stainless Games, so one can hope to preserve the spirit of the old school.
In the revived game they promise to keep the original “chips”: large spaces available for pokatushek, various power-ups (including solid granite car and pedestrian electro-bastard ray :), many cars equipped with sophisticated destruction tools, and, of course, multiplayer ! However, the past years should also benefit the project: correct destruction physics and realistic graphics - this is what was lacking for complete happiness in the distant 97th.

Developers want a minimum of $ 400,000; a digital copy of the game, as usual, give for $ 15; for the greater contribution, additional bonuses have been made: from access to early beta testing for a quarter of a hundred and the possibility of becoming a pedestrian in a thousand to a personally thought out route or opponent for ten thousand. About 120 thousand have already been collected, until the end of the fees for almost another month, so one can safely hope that it will come to implementation.
