Hangouts On Air from Google+: a video broadcasting channel for everyone

Google+ developers continue to work on their brainchild, adding new features, and making the social network all the more interesting for users. Now, as far as can be judged, Google+ is Google’s top priority. The other day, developers have opened to everyone "Hangouts On Air". This is a video broadcast service that is associated with YouTube.

Hangouts On Air allows each user of a social network to open their own “TV channel”, i.e. broadcast video in real time. Google+ was a video conferencing right away, but Hangouts On Air is a more advanced service than a simple conference. Thus, the created channel can be broadcast to an unlimited number of viewers (although there can be a total of 10 participants of such a video broadcast, there are active participants).

Google developers believe that their service is suitable for journalists, for webinars and conferences, for organizing round tables. It’s just not possible to launch Hangouts On Air - in order to start broadcasting, you need to work with both YouTube and Google+ (accounts of these two services must be linked). When broadcasting, a video recording takes place, which, after the end of the broadcast, remains on YouTube and Google+.

It is worth noting that Hangouts On Air is not the newest feature of Google+, but so far this service has been available to a limited number of users. The service will be open to all for a couple of weeks.
