About a week ago, the developers released the final release of the Tizen 1.0 mobile operating system, codenamed Larkspur. And, apparently, the participants of the Tizen Association (and among them Intel, Samsung, Panasonic, Vodafone), financing the development of the platform, do not intend to postpone the matter indefinitely and will release the finished device to the market relatively soon. It is worth recalling that Tizen is positioned by the creators as an open alternative to Android and is based on the results of two projects - MeeGo and LiMo.
At the Tizen Developer Conference for developers at the San Francisco Conference held from the 7th to the 9th of May, the device was presented with a somewhat unusual design for smartphones (however, this is an early example) made by Samsung, based on a 2-core 1.2 Hz ARM processor and , as The Handheld Blog browser writes, 4.3 "or a little more with a screen and a resolution of 1024 x 720 pixels.
