garage48 for the first time in Kiev!
This weekend in Kiev will be a very cool event - Garage48 - the idea is to create a startup in two days. The “creation” includes all the most necessary things: present your business idea, pass the selection, technically bring it to life, and then be able to sell it to a strict viewer and wise mentors.
This event was invented in Estonia and has already managed to visit many countries around the world. Finally, Garage 48 reached Ukraine: from May 11 to 13 we will occupy the KPI Library , which is located on Victory Avenue , 37, and will enjoy the company of foreign mentors abroad (they will guide you in the right direction when creating a startup and guide you on the way , if you go into the jungle), as well as the company of its colleagues and organizers of the event - representatives of the Garage48 Foundation, DOU and IT activists Vika Zhurbas.
On Friday we will get acquainted with the ideas of the participants, select the most interesting ideas and form teams. On Saturday morning, we will check which of the teams survived and did not disintegrate overnight, and during the day each team will be lucky enough to talk with our mentors and get a good portion of advice. At Sunday lunch, we will begin active preparation of the participants for the pitches. In the evening we will see the results of the work of young businessmen and the jury will choose the winner. Important: Garage48 speaks only English , so be prepared to hear few Russian words at the event, especially when presenting ideas, communicating with mentors, the jury and the organizers.
In the cozy library of KPI you will find delicious food, jobs, wifi, and longing for student years :) The most avid startups can stay overnight, but there is one small drawback - there is no soul in the library.

But for that, we will be happy to indulge you with “buns”: you will have the opportunity to talk with the guys from Yandex (they became our general partner), people from Skype (you can easily find them at 15:00, 11.05.12 in the Library building ), as well as TA Venture and Microsoft . The registration of ideas is already closed, but you can register as a designer.
If you have an idea, you are confident and ready to sell it to a large audience in 90 seconds - you will have the opportunity to present your plan on the evening of Friday the 11th of May, after registered ideas.
