After a couple of years of silence, he resumed his work "Shutdown Day" - Shutdown Day. This time it has undergone a slight transformation.
Firstly, the founders and organizers of the previous Shutdown Day (2007, 2008 and 2009) this time have nothing to do with the launch (except for the idea), secondly, this year the disconnection is held only in Russia (on the .ru domain ), thirdly - Shutdown Day 2012 is more loyal to the person, he gives the right to choose disconnect (computer, tablet or phone), fourthly, today is May 16, and the day before, May 15, we all look forward to release Diablo 3. Well, and, fifthly, on May 16 it is a Wednesday, a working environment.

The rest is unchanged:
1. fight against Internet addiction (in the framework of the current sdd, an experiment is conducted in one of the Tambov universities. There, 25 students voluntarily refused to use the Internet for 3 weeks and are daily observed by doctors and psychologists);
2. insignificant, but possible energy savings (you can write about multi-volumes about it, read expert opinions on the Earth Hour conducted by WWF);
3. promotion of a healthy lifestyle (probably the most important trump card of the current sdd - go out, meet friends, spring).
