Nokia sells Vertu

According to the Financial Times, citing a source close to the company, Nokia is negotiating the sale of its luxury brand Vertu to a private joint-stock company Permira .

If the transaction takes place, Nokia will be able to get more than 200 million euros (about 265 million dollars).

These 265 million, of course, will not save Nokia, but at least they will not be superfluous - the company in Q1 2012 announced financial losses of 1.8 billion.
