From November 2010 to November 2011, a study was conducted, the results of which showed that all over the world, 56% of users prefer Opera Mini to access the Internet via mobile devices, and 43% prefer a different browser.
In some countries, this figure is even higher:
- Egypt - 72%
- Bangladesh - 69%
- Brazil - 65%
- South Africa - 61%.
At first glance, the numbers seem high enough. This is because wired Internet is not very well developed in these countries, so the easiest way to enter the Web here is mobile devices.

Also during the study, it turned out that Opera Mini users are 35% more likely to buy music and games using mobile devices than users of other browsers.
And some more numbers.

These users viewed more than 117 billion pages in a year, which is 96% more than in 2011.
According to general estimates, Opera users generate more than 1,918,000 megabytes of traffic.
