Do you want to do well - do it yourself: FlashDevelop 4 UnityScript editor

Briefly: I tricked the author FlashDevelop to introduce UnityScript support into its editor, and provided all possible assistance in adapting. Work build can be downloaded here .

And now in detail: someone may have read my previous post where I studied the available editors for UnityScript and came to the conclusion that everything is somehow crooked and I want more.

Omitting the text of the previous article, I can say that a certain UnityDevelop showed the best results - the FlashDevelop build of the old version 2.0, which was adapted to the Unity version of javascript. It is not surprising, because at its core, UnityScript is simply the twin of ActionScript. In general, the IDE looked good, but I wanted, of course, more.

And then I went to the FlashDevelop developers to the forum ... One of the developers (Philippe) responded and became interested. And the work went. Literally in a week, we collected a working build with UnityScript support. Of course, as far as the code is concerned, he did most of it (for which many thanks to him). I sent more :)

So, what happened? And it turned out pretty well. Of course - not a release (Philip promised to release this business in a release in version FD 4.1). But it is already possible to work better than on everything else.

• Refine / add help by built-in classes
• Auto-adding import currently adds the wrong path "import System.Collections.Generic.List" instead of "import System.Collections.Generic".

Bugs / flaws / suggestions are accepted in the comments, lichku or forum FlashDevelop . Because If the project is open, then all source codes (including UnityScript support) are in Google code .

If something does not work or is buggy - do not kick your feet. For now this beta build is more “for yourself”. But I wanted to share before the release of FD 4.1
