Google commented on the user property rights situation.

Google Ukraine in the person of Marina Tarasova, public relations manager, officially commented on the current hype about the rules for using the Google Drive service.

“As stated in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, we do not claim ownership or control of your information stored on Google Drive. The terms of our services imply that the files that you decide to share with other users, we get the appropriate
rights in order to be able to provide access to these files to those users who you personally define, and format them properly for display on screens of different sizes and resolutions. We would like to clarify this issue - Google will not use your data in any way that goes beyond your and only your control . We will never allow ourselves to transfer your files to anyone else, unless you yourself want it. Our Terms of Use clearly state: “Some of our services allow you to download content. You retain all intellectual property rights to this content. We, as before, are not going to sell your personal information or provide it to anyone without your consent. ” In other words, what belongs to you remains yours. ”
