We put Denver on a flash drive. The idea came to me due to the fact that the house is a big computer and a laptop.
I decided to try to put on a flash drive and not suffer. Inserted into the computer, run run.exe and work, finished, insert it into another computer, you work further. In this case, all changes are made immediately on a flash drive.
What did, in order:
1. Run the installation of Denver.
2. In the directory name specify the address to the folder on the flash drive itself. We confirm.
3. Select the letter of the created virtual disk. I chose W, Z is already occupied by the usual Denver. We confirm.
4. Type of download, select "2". A virtual disk will be created when the server starts.
Installation is complete.
')
Now you need to copy the projects to the flash drive:
1. The project files themselves in the appropriate folder on the flash drive.
2. Databases are in the "root \ usr \ local \ mysql4 \ data \ database name" - in the same folder on the flash drive.
That's all.
But there is another option - to put Denver in the root of the flash drive. Then a virtual disk is not created, which seems more convenient to me. For this, when
installation, do not specify a folder on the flash drive, but only the name of the flash drive disk.
There was a little problem with the launch of Denver on Vista. Could not add the host list to the file “C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts”. Too
so much security there. The problem was solved in the following way - “LKM-> Run as Administrator” and it all worked.
It is clear that from time to time you need to throw off the changes made on the computer, and then you never know what.
