Cloud Contest 2 Report
On March 31 in Samara, we organized Cloud Contest 2 - an individual offline programming competition for talented students. Our competition distinguishes us from ordinary olympiads with a competitive component. Participants wrote bots that fought with each other. The winner was determined by the results of the battle between the robots. In order to participate, you do not need to be a member of the Olympiad team or have a wealth of experience in Olympiad programming. It is enough to register on the site and cope with the test task.

The competition consisted of two stages: absentee test and full-time main. In the correspondence stage, the participants wrote a bot in any programming language that was supposed to go through a maze. This helped them to get acquainted with the API and prepare for the more complex full-time part.
Detailed description of the test task
All the participants who successfully coped with the test task, we invited to participate in the main competition on March 31 at 13:00 in the Tinkoff restaurant. The task of the full-time part is more difficult than the test: under your control a team of 6 bots on a field of 30 x 30 cells. Each of the three opponents also has 6 bots that can shoot at yours. You fight with other participants, not against the computer. In the lively competition, the passions were serious :-).

In December, we organized the first Cloud Contest. Its members also fought among themselves, but in collecting bonuses in the maze. In the autumn we plan to expand the geography of the competition and invite participants from neighboring cities. They, of course, will be paid for the road and accommodation. Correspondence of the competition will be more difficult, it will overcome the best of the best. And the most successful of them will get prizes that will become even more attractive.
