Sony Interactive Projector

Today Sony has announced that they are starting to sell projectors that can display and save notes left by infrared pens right on the image.

The Sony VPL-SW535C projector comes bundled with two infrared handles (battery operated), with which you can leave notes directly on the projected image. Both pens are tracked simultaneously. They can also be used as a normal mouse to switch presentation slides.

The company says that such projectors can be successfully used in school classes, so that in one lesson the students leave comments on the subject of the lesson, and in the next lesson they return to them. In a business environment, the device can be used as an interactive whiteboard with the ability to save all marks and edits directly to a computer.

The projector will start being sold in May in Japan, Europe and the USA. Estimated cost - 260,000 yen
($ 3,200). Sony is mainly focused on the business environment and educational institutions.

The connection of the projector with a computer is carried out thanks to a special software that tracks the movements of the handles. More in TTX stated the presence of HDMI and standard video inputs.

The basic properties and characteristics can be viewed on the product page .
