Lina Software has
released the LINA source code under the GPL v2 license. LINA allows you to execute Linux binaries on various operating systems without recompiling, while leaving their appearance unchanged. Lina Software has also launched the community website
www.openlina.org and invites developers to participate in the development of this promising technology.
LINA allows you to natively run the “Linux” console and server programs of the program in different operating systems. It makes it possible for developers to write and compile source files using standard Linux tools: using LINA, the resulting binaries can be run on various operating systems. LINA runs in the background and is invisible to the user. This release supports OSs such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2003, Mac OS X, Fedora 7, OpenSUSE 10.2 and Ubuntu 7.04. Currently, the LINA library supports development in C ++, but further development is expected to be possible in any languages.
