Yandex announce the creation of a professional industry association. An initiative group consisting of employees of these companies will prepare draft statutory documents, which will then be presented to the industry.
The initiating companies assume that the Association will unite those for whom Internet content and Internet services are the main profession, as well as those whose activities are closely connected with the Internet. The main goal of the Association will be to form a unified industry position on various issues in the field of business on the Internet, as well as interaction with government, public organizations and other industries. Organizing companies plan to hold a constituent assembly of the Association before the start of the autumn business season.
Access to the Association will be open to a wide range of players on the Internet market. Members of the association will be able to become companies that create various Internet services, online media, online stores, design studios, advertising agencies that advertise on the Internet, access providers, Internet telephony and IP television, payment systems, legal and any other consulting companies working with the Internet.
