Over the past three years, our two programs, Preferred Developer Consultant (PDC) (Recognized Application Development Specialists) and Marketing API Program (MAP) (Marketing Program API), have helped companies find developers to create applications for the Facebook platform, optimize social plugins, manage advertising campaigns and develop strategies for communicating with the audience through Facebook Pages. Today we want to inform you about the merger of the above two programs into one, which will be called
Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) (Recognized specialist in the development of marketing solutions). The PMD program will help developers find clients for themselves, and companies will attract consultants to implement advertising campaigns and effectively present their brand on Facebook.

This year we recorded a record number of people willing to participate in our programs.
The list of new PMD members who have not previously participated in the PDC or MAP includes 141 companies from 20 countries of the world. In total, 232 companies from 35 countries of the world are registered in the PMD program.
The new PMD program will help developers:
- Find the right information with the help of new search tools that will replace the PDC directories and advertising APIs. Clients will be able to search for developers according to the criteria of location and work experience, as well as see their completed projects and customer feedback.
- Display on your page existing experience with applications and services Pages, Ads and Insights. This information will be used by PMD search engines, so that potential customers will be able to quickly find suitable specialists.
- Get more information about the goals and the internal structure of the program using the updated site for developers
- Save time during registration, thanks to the application of a new unified application form . Now, developers can apply for entry at any convenient time, and not wait for the onset of reception periods.
Since the launch of the PDC and MAP programs, the ecosystem has expanded significantly, and companies such as Vitrue, Adobe and KRDS have achieved incredible success in serving the needs of its participants.
- The number of Vitrue employees increased from 60 people in 2010 to 180 in 2011. The company opened five new offices and began working with foreign customers.
- Earlier this year, Adobe acquired Efficient Frontier and Context Optional, and recently announced plans to launch Adobe Social, a unified tool designed to help users effectively manage their assets on Facebook, including applications, services, Pages, Ads and Insights.
- Since 2010, the number of KRDS employees has grown from 10 to 96 people. The company has opened five new offices in France, Germany and India. KRDS organized 350 Facebook campaigns for 160 clients from 13 countries. The company's annual growth rate was measured in three digits.

We hope that the arrival of a new wave of consultants will contribute to the development of the ecosystem as a whole, as well as the introduction of innovations into the work of the platform itself, Facebook Pages and advertising services.
