Windows Phone Marketing Director resigned only 5 months after starting work

Gavin Kim, the most senior marketing manager for Windows Phone, overbought by Samsung in November 2011, left Microsoft only 5 months after starting work.

We can confirm that Gavin Kim has decided to leave Microsoft. We really like the work he has done and we hope that his successor, Eugene Ho, will continue this success. And we wish Gavin all the best.

Kim was responsible for representing the Windows Phone platform and its future in the eyes of consumers and partners. At one time in one of the interviews, he noted that “he plans to win the hearts and minds of customers, operators, device manufacturers, developers and partners”.
