A couple of years ago, many bloggers walked a bit on the domestic army Glonass Navigator. The developers did not stand still and gave a new, much more interesting device to the surface:
As many will notice, on the right is that very mocked navigator. On the left is the device of a new generation, although for some reason under the same name "Grot-M".
A detailed review of iron with photos can be read here . By the way, there it is stated that the previous navigator is quite fit, just very much specialized. ')
Domestic navigator painfully recalls the early tourist garmina. By the way, about the top location of the buttons in the comments to the review, a powerful holivar broke out. The duration of the work is also several times smaller than the civil models. But the map, albeit in four colors for now, is certainly a significant breakthrough in usability. By the way, the video:
There is no touch screen in the name of mechanical strength and general army armor-piercing. But about the dimensions, the author of the review wrote a separate post , showing that the American device of a similar purpose is a coffin no less:
Returning to the "Grotto" - there is a connected external antenna:
With full power, your Li-Po batteries or AA batteries / batteries:
Separately pleased with the fastening of the cover of the battery pack, right deja vu.
The Grot-M is being developed by the Research Institute of Space Instrument Making . Last year, a trial batch of several hundred pieces of devices was released. The price is unknown even approximately. Although some attentive readers unearthed a tender for purchases, but everything is in a heap. There is no other data on the price of the question yet, but it is clear that even when the device will be produced in large quantities, it will be considerable.
Army navigators exist in other guises. For example, there is such a device , a protective color, like all the above:
There are many buttons, but by the example of the same harmines it is clear that they are all needed. In addition, they are very conveniently located under the thumb. Although, without a card somehow uninteresting.
Judging by everything, the Grote-M is also supposed to be able to update the data in the navigator on the fly. In general, we live in an interesting time, comrades.
