If you live according to the principle “not a day without a line of
code ”, we invite you to the ABBYY Cup - the student's online sports programming contest, which our company holds for the second time. This year, together with
www.codeforces.ru and Saratov State University.
Those who participated in the ABBYY Cup a year ago, remember that the tasks were quite simple - it gave the opportunity to try their hand at the guys who have never participated in such competitions. However, there were those to whom the tasks seemed boring. Therefore, this year conditions have changed, and the Olympiad will be held in two divisions.
The first one is really difficult, it is intended for experienced students - regular participants of programming championships.
')
The second division is fairly easy, the level of complexity of the tasks in it corresponds to last year's ABBYY Cup. Examples of tasks can be found
on the ABBYY website in the "Science" section . If you have never participated in programming olympiads or have, in your opinion, too little experience, then the second division is created just for you.
By the way, the famous
Gene Korotkevich , a Belarusian school child prodigy, a multiple winner of international computer science competitions, helped us in preparing the package of tasks for the ABBYY Cup. ).
The second division will be held
on April 21, from 18 to 22 hours . The first -
April 28, from 16 to 21 hours . You can participate in both divisions. Pupils and graduate students can take part out of the competition.
In each division there will be 6 tasks, for each you can get 100 points. As in the past year, solutions will be evaluated using automatic tests of different levels of complexity. For the tasks of the first division, the cost of tests is equal to 30 or 70 points, for the tasks of the second division - 20, 30 or 50 points, respectively. The official languages of the competition are C / C ++, Pascal, C # and Java. Tasks can be submitted in all languages supported by Codeforces, but the jury does not guarantee the existence of complete solutions in all languages from this list.
Now about the "buns". The results of both divisions of the ABBYY Cup can be credited as one of the introductory stages when recruiting for the ABBYY department at the MIPT or when joining the company. In addition, we invite all winners to ABBYY Open House, and non-resident winners of the second division will pay for the journey to Moscow and back. Well, of course, other nice prizes are expected.
