On the 16th (not sure, there is no official information yet) September Yandex launched its Jabber-server integrated into the Ya.ru service (on which you can already register and without invitations, perhaps these events are related).
The data from the profile on Ya.ru has already been entered into the vCard, and notifications about the new mail come to the automatically configured Mail transport.
The login is * * @ ya.ru mail (i.e. your_login_n__yandex@ya.ru), and accordingly, your Yandex password.
Jabber host: xmpp.yandex.ru, port: 5223, SSL encryption must be enabled.
