Publisher borrowed text from Wikipedia

Today , the first case of borrowing the text from the Wikipedia article, in the published book by N. V. Prokhorova “Coins and Banknotes of Russia” (Moscow, House of Slavic Books, Veche, 2007) was used material from the article “Chervonets” from Russian Wikipedia . There were a total of about 7 paragraphs (introduction, sections “Scam with fakes of paper chervonets”, “After NEP” and “Metal chervonets”). Although Wikipedia permits the free use of its materials (including commercially), it also requires compliance with certain conditions ( GNU FDL license ), in particular, to indicate the names of the main authors of articles. Interestingly, one of the requirements of Wikipedia is verifiability, the need for references to authoritative sources when describing facts in articles, otherwise they can be deleted - only based on this rule can we try to create an encyclopedia. In this case, it turned out to be the other way around, the aspiring to authoritativeness of the book itself borrows data from a secondary source, which is Wikipedia.

I wonder if it will be possible to prosecute the publisher? Perhaps then it will be possible to check the applicability in Russia of the GNU FDL license.
