This may not be the case with the iPad. Today, tablet developers on Windows 8 (or sympathizers) got the opportunity to test their applications or play with the Microsoft Metro interface on Apple’s popular iPad.
This is made possible by the Win8 Metro Testbed application from Splashtop. Functionally, this is based on the “remote desktop” technology that Splashtop has already used in iOS and Android apps. Win8 Metro Testbed supports all Win8 gestures and features, such as multitouch, swipes from the edges of the screen, working with the Charm panel, “pull down” to close the application, etc. Currently the application is available in iTunes at a promotional price of $ 24.99, but will soon be worth $ 49.99
