Unfortunately for them, the start of sales was clouded by the news that in the first version of the device there is a software bug, due to which in some cases communication with the Internet is lost. Nokia has explained in a corporate blog that the bug is related to a software error in memory management, which was discovered immediately after the start of sales.

The company promises that the corrected firmware will be released no later than April 16.

Huge money is invested in Windows promotion on smartphones. Only on advertising Nokia Lumia 900 spent hundreds of millions. Smarfton took several nominations, including "Best Smartphone 2012" at CES. The device itself is even sold at lower cost, for only $ 99.99 with a contract. It would seem that all the conditions for an enchanting launch have been created - and that is what happened.

Trying to rectify the situation, Nokia announced an unprecedented action : everyone who has already bought Nokia Lumia 900 will be compensated for the software bug by a check for $ 100 (the amount will be transferred to the subscriber’s account from the operator). Moreover, a similar compensation will also be received by everyone who buys a smartphone until midnight on April 21 (PT). Considering that the cost of a smartphone is the same one hundred dollars, Nokia will almost certainly give out smartphones for almost two weeks.

The only pity is that Nokia Lumia 900 is now sold exclusively in the United States from the operator AT & T.
