Weekdays developer: funny pictures

The post is not about a bashorg or chips. No, as one might guess from the name. And not even about what methods we sell our products in Greenpeace and WWF, as the screenshot on the right seems to hint at. It will be about the pictures that have become part of the creative development process. If something is not clear - tackle tells a little more.

Carefully, the post is almost Friday.


During development, it often happens that the graphics are not ready yet, but they need to be used. On the one hand, you can take the graphics from the old version, but then there is a chance that they will forget to change it in the release ( MKrivosheev : Come on, OTC will not allow). On the other - you can either just spoil the image with a digit from the new version, or, finally, make your own. So I did during the release of the line of light products FineReader 9.0 (FotoReader, Home Edition). Then the first PC of her came to me then, and I discovered Tux Paint for myself, with the help of which we had created splashing for about 10 minutes. Since it’s customary to share experiences here, I’ll note that the most difficult thing for me as a Windows user was finding the place where the pictures from Tux Paint are stored on disk. :)

Another example is Screenshot Reader. In the process of development, we decided to add a delayed shooting function for the entire screen. The countdown timer has acquired the following form:

The screenshot at the beginning of the post, as you already understood, from the same place. Later, the timer, of course, was replaced by the usual boring one, which can still be seen in the mentioned application.

I note that no panda in the development process was not affected.
