Administration and technical support of the national .RU domain were transferred to RosNIIROS (Russian Research Institute for the Development of Public Networks). It was on April 7, 1994 in the international database of national top-level domains that an entry appeared about the opening of the Russian domain space.
1996
This year the oldest commercial domain is registered, which we were able to dig out: nostalgie.ru , which, by the way, is currently hosted by REG.RU.
2006–2007
