As
expected , the Yahoo portal still released a new generation social network. Today, it opened as a public beta (by invitation). The development was named
Mash , and this is a very correct name, because it combines the functionality of Myspace, Facebook and Wikipedia. For example, your friends can edit your personal page, almost like in Wikipedia.

Here is a
list of "borrowings" that are available in Mash.
MySpace : Users can add their own background themes and color templates, to the extent that the speed of loading pages and readability of the text is reduced to almost zero. Unlike Myspace, however, when viewing someone else's profile, you can display a standard color with a white background.
')
Facebook : There is a library of modules to add to your pages. Yahoo plans to open a platform for third-party developers, but has not done it yet. There are very interesting modules, for example, MyMashLog saves the names of all users who visited your page.
Wikipedia : The most interesting part of the Mash functionality is that by default your friends have the right to edit your personal pages: for example, add you RSS feeds, change the background image, etc. As in Wikipedia, the history of edits is kept, so that you can always see who has done something and bring everything back to its place.
