Representatives of the social network Facebook have announced their intention to create a reliable and practical search service to search for the right information among a large number of user content. Until now, many Facebook users have complained about the lack of normal means of finding the right information among the tools of this social network. The administration decided to create the same search, and Lars Rasmussen, who previously worked with Google on Google Wave, was involved in the development of the service.
In general, Lars Rasmussen is not an ordinary developer, along with his brother, he was the head of the Google Wave project. Obviously, some similar features of this service, now deceased in Bose, will be transferred to the search service Facebook. It is worth noting that Rasmussen began working on Facebook in 2010. Here he works as a team leader of a couple of dozen developers. Well, the control of the whole process is Mark Zuckerberg himself.

According to the developers, the search service will allow you to easily find the necessary user content in the social network environment. The search will be conducted both by video and by text, including statuses and articles. The development team believes that its project will not be a direct competitor to Google’s search, since the search will work inside Facebook and not on the external network. According to experts, the new tool will attract additional users, plus already registered users will spend more time on the social network.
Plus, a monetization mechanism will be created, allowing to display ads that are relevant to the user's search query. A similar mechanism is used by other Internet companies, including Google.
