Service for more efficient replenishment of English words
Good day!
I want to introduce a small service that is created to help in the effective replenishment of vocabulary for the English language:

In short, it works as follows.
1. You download the text you want to read. This can be an article URL from the Internet, a book or an article in pdf, doc, txt, ps or subtitles.
2. The system builds word statistics and displays words sorted by frequency of use in the text. Previously, lemmatization is applied to the words (i.e. the words make and made will be considered identical).
3. You mark familiar words , as well as words that need to be studied .
4. You type the words you need to learn , in a format that is convenient for you (including with a short English-Russian translation, that is, a not complete dictionary entry).
I would like to draw attention to some features of the system.
1. For 50,000 words we have short translations into Russian. This is when for each word you are provided with a not long dictionary entry (which, of course, also exists), but only the basic meaning, which will work in 90% of cases. It looks like this:
If this is not enough, you can view the complete dictionary entry in the English-Russian, English-English dictionary, as well as on third-party services.
2. A word, once marked as known or as a “word for study,” will retain this status in another text. Thus, once having marked a word, later you do not waste time on re-deciding whether to teach it.

3. Having marked the words to be studied, they can be (and, probably, necessary!) Printed. We have quite a few print options. See some examples in pdf:

We, the authors of the service, will be happy to feedback (including, be sure to write, if you try the service, but something will not be missed!)
Our interfaces are, of course, far from perfect (they are quite effective, but some things can immediately be incomprehensible). Please treat this with understanding. Everything will be slowly corrected. But we have a pretty good description of the capabilities of the service on the main page .
