Russian Railways started selling tickets online
Russian Railways OJSC (RZD) has begun selling tickets on the Moscow-St. Petersburg route via the Internet, using the “e-ticket” technology. This was announced by Vice-President of Russian Railways Mikhail Akulov.
According to Akulov, the project of selling tickets in the direction of Moscow - St. Petersburg is a pilot project created in cooperation with Universal Financial Systems LLC.
According to the Prime-Tass agency, since 2007, Russian Railways has been planning electronic ticket sales at all Russian Railways ticket offices, and throughout the Russian Federation.
