In this case, there will be a real competition among publishers to represent the interests of popular authors. That will lead to lower prices for their marketing services, and further to a sharp decline in prices for the consumer.
In addition, they will finally invest in effective and convenient search, sales and content delivery systems — to minimize their own costs — in the struggle for the consumer and the performer / author.
Piracy in the relevant niches will disappear, since for a small amount of money you can download any kind of music or book legally, in the highest quality.
