Some time ago, on the web, there was news that fixed and mobile service providers in some countries were dissatisfied with the growing VoIP traffic. In the US, there were even trials about the "cutting off" of traffic by some providers. Then everything ended more or less well: providers were forbidden to cut traffic. Now it all starts over again, but in Sweden.
Yes, in this European country, where it seems like human rights are registered and protected where possible, large mobile operators have announced their intention to block VoIP traffic, since the traffic itself is free, i.e. the provider does not receive money for it, but the networks are loaded seriously. Providers want to make additional packages for customers who need VoIP-traffic. As far as you can understand, such customers are now the majority.

It is clear that users are extremely negative about these plans. Some believe that providers will go to the extreme, with the separation of the type of traffic into video, text, music, and so on. Of course, all this can bring additional profit to providers, but now customers do not want to pay extra. Representatives of Telia, a major European provider, believe that it is still necessary to share the service of connecting to the Network according to the type of traffic.
Experts believe that all these problems are caused by the fact that the profits of telecommunications companies have ceased to grow, being at the same level for quite a long time, while VoIP companies are getting more and more money from their own clients. And providers want to get their "piece of cake." In any case, this is an important question, and a decision on it will be made very soon. Although there is a rather high probability that in Europe this problem will be solved in approximately the same way as in the USA, where providers were forbidden to divide traffic by type.
