Friends! We held regional finals
of the Imagine Cup competition in 5 cities of Russia, and selected 10 student projects from almost 80 that will compete in the Russian final! Details - below, but now you can
register for the event ! In addition to the performances of the projects, there will be a lot of interesting things - we really
tried to prepare a technological holiday for you !

As in the
past Student Day in the fall, you can spend the day in an atmosphere of creativity, movement and innovation. You can:
- See the performances of 10 student teams from all over Russia, who will present their innovative software projects to the jury. The team that wins this competition will represent Russia at the international final in Australia. The competition involved teams:
- Moscow State University and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with the Child Monitor project - a system for automatically tracking a child’s mood using the Kinect sensor for early diagnosis and prevention of serious diseases
- MIEM-HSE and MAI with the LaserCraft project, designed to tear the child away from computer games and captivate street entertainment at the intersection of reality and virtuality
- SPbGPU with the project of the optical vision system for the blind based on Kinect
- Nizhny Novgorod State University with the Pandam project - tracking the child’s posture while working on a computer and forcing periodic exercises
- Saratov State Technical University (Saratov) with a system of mobile robots for minefield neutralization
- SUSU (Chelyabinsk) with the project Smart Pipes to reduce water leaks
- SUSU (Chelyabinsk) with the Mother Health project - a support system for women during pregnancy and the first years of raising a child
- Irkutsk State University with the project Kiwi - a smartphone application for solving all problems
- TUSUR (Tomsk) with a draft system for early detection of diseases of the larynx based on voice analysis
- TPU and TSU (Tomsk) with the Kinect-based literacy system for children
- View the IT Planet Competition Finals | Windows Phone 7 , in which participants from different cities in a couple of hours will finalize their applications for Windows Phone 7 and present them to the jury and the audience
- Hear the opening address of the director of international student programs at Microsoft Moorthy Uppaluri, coordinator of the Imagine Cup competition at the international level Jennifer Ritzinger, representatives of sponsors and partners of the event ( Skolkovo Open University , AskCap.ru portal, etc.) and talk to them in a less formal setting in break.
- Learn how to develop applications for Windows 8 and Kinect for Windows on special workshops and mini bootcamps. If you want to participate in Windows 8 Camp and try development on your laptop - put on it Windows 8 Comsumer Preview and Visual Studio 2011.
- Participate in workshops on technological entrepreneurship, in various trainings, team activities and exciting contests for viewers .
- Get to know and make friends with the Microsoft Student Partners community , and it is possible to later become a Microsoft student partner yourself, a student representative of the company in your university
- Ask Microsoft HR to ask questions about how best to get a job at Microsoft and other high-tech companies, how to write a resume and behave yourself during an interview
- Participate in the selection of the best team within the audience award, support the team of your university and the teams you like.
