ParaType has released a free font "PT Mono Bold" (bold version of the font "PT Mono")
The day before yesterday (March 28, 2012) , an announcement of the appearance of PT Mono Bold was published in the ParaType community in LiveJournal:

Like its predecessor, PT Mono, this font is monospaced, distributed freely (under the OFL license), created with the financial participation of Google and will be distributed via the Google Web Fonts website (although it has not yet appeared there).
In the comments in LiveJournal, you can read this: only the growing popularity of the PT Mono family can lead to the fact that it is possible to attract sponsors to further expand this family in italic. Currently, italics are not planned.
