Paper newspapers will not soon give way to electronic ones, but new technologies cannot be ignored. Such an opinion was expressed by all those who spoke at the session of the 59th World Newspaper Congress in Moscow devoted to the innovations of the newspaper business.
“The newspapers have a depth, the internet has a breadth. On the Internet, the main user is a user, and in a newspaper is a journalist. The Internet is not a newspaper, it is only a very convenient means of transmitting information, ”said Matias Dopfner, general director of the German publishing house
Axel Springer .
He gave examples of how traditional marketing methods (exploring the interests of readers, changing the format and others) make it possible to expand the reach of the audience, bring new publications to the market, although he acknowledged that the future is in electronics.
