The National Association of Electronic Commerce Participants (NAUET) has established an ad hoc committee on electronic commerce, which will deal with the development of commerce via the Internet (B2C segment). Pavel Vrublevsky, General Director of CJSC ChronoPay, was appointed as the chairman of the committee.
As follows from the press release of NAUET, the committee was established to improve legislation regulating online trading and ensuring consumer rights in e-commerce, intellectual property rights and collective rights management, improving legislative regulation of electronic payment systems and the use of plastic cards. In addition, the committee will develop measures to combat e-commerce fraud and develop proposals for improving information security and ensuring the confidentiality of personal data in e-commerce.
