XBMC 11 released

It took more than a year to release the new version of the XBMC 11.0 Eden media center with a huge number of new features: lower CPU and GPU load, improved FFmpeg codecs (libavformat and libavcodec), new JPEG decoder, support for new protocols, broadcast video on iPad, improved weather forecast with check GeoIP and others.

In addition to XBMC 11 for Windows, Linux, OSX and iOS, the final version of XBMCbuntu Final has been released.

XBMC is a popular open source program for organizing a home theater with your own hands , including a computer-media center, a TV, and an audio system. Initially, the XBMC project was created to make a media center out of the Xbox, hence the name, but now the program can be installed on almost any device under any OS. You can use the Official XBMC Remote Android program as a D / U remote (the movie is automatically paused for an incoming call). Another XBMC feature is the connection to the media center of any extensions, including for torrents. By the way, in the 11th version of XBMC, it became easier to connect third-party extensions.
