Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, at the annual summit of executive directors of American companies, shared the plans of the corporation for the development of search technology.
According to Gates, now is the time when companies need to revise the concepts underlying the processes of interaction of employees with corporate data. The constant increase in the amount of digital information leads to the fact that it is becoming more and more difficult for users to find the document of interest not only on the Internet, but even on the local network. As a result, the efficiency of the labor process is reduced, which, in turn, leads to an increase in costs.
To help in this, according to the founder of Microsoft, should fundamentally new means of corporate search. Microsoft, in particular, is working on a universal system Windows Live Search, which will allow you to search for information both on the Internet and on the local network, as well as on personal computer drives. Such a system should have a simple and at the same time functional interface and, in addition, ensure the protection of corporate data from unauthorized access.
