Review of the beta version of Adobe Photoshop CS6

Today I decided to download a new photoshop (CS6), and see what and how with it.
All my review will see next

Design

First of all, when I went to “new photoshop”, I thought that somehow I ended up in Adobe After Effects. The design is really very similar.

Add video and music

In the new Photoshop appeared "adding video and music" on the timeline (more and more looks like Adobe After Effects)

At the same time, you can add not one song, but several.

By clicking on the icon on the track, you can call the video.

It is also possible to change the speed of video playback.

On the “Audio” tab, you can change the sound volume, speed and several other functions.

There is also a “video splitting” where you can select a video, and click Split Layer , just press the button where the indicator is located, otherwise the part you need will be cut.

Standardly, “Comments” and “Global Lighting” are not included in the “Animations”

And they are included easily. Show -> Comments Illi Show -> Global Lighting Track

By the way, "Gradient" also updated

Photographers will benefit from the enhanced ability to work with HDR photos. The developers have worked well in this regard. However, as well as above 3D. Unfortunately, I didn’t work with 3D objects in Photoshop, so I’m not going to say specific changes, but there are a lot of them.
Also in CS6 added text styles, high-quality anti-aliasing, filter in the layers window.

Another new feature is the Remix tool.

With the Remix Tool you can move entire areas of the image to a new location. It works in two functions: Move and Extand.
It works extremely simple: Move - moves the selected area, and Extand - moves the area with copying.

Creating shapes behind your data

It is also possible, as in Illustrator, to set your own dimensions for a shape, if you know for sure what size a shape should be. To do this, click on the “U” layer, you will be taken to the “Rectangle tool”, left-click on the layer, and such a window will pop out.

Quite convenient, by the way, this can be done not only with the "rectangle".

New blur tools

In the picture we see such new tools - as Field blur (Field blur), Iris blur (rainbow blur), Tilt-Shift (Tilt and shift).
At the very end there is a video that describes the new features. (Sneak Peek), there are several.
Unfortunately, I can describe only one function.
Iris Blur creates a photo focus effect. To create such an effect in previous versions of Photoshop, you would need several layers, a gradient mask and a strong blur. The filter allows you to quickly add blur to the image. Especially the tool will appeal to photographers who wish to achieve an effect with a shallow depth of field.

Autosave

"New Photoshop" can autosave your work. If the photoshop is turned off, but you did not have time to survive, or the light turned off (we will not delve into the options, but the point is clear). According to the standard, it is autosave every 10 minutes. All your actions autosave. Really important thing.

Layer sorting

Appeared "Sort layers", and now it looks like this:

Kind - Type; Name - Name; Effect - Effect; Mode - Mode; Attribute - Attribute; Color - Color. (The entire old list of color picker choices)

Also, now each layer can be marked with its own color, choosing “Color” in the sorting.

And if we select “Effect” in the sorting, the usual functions will be given out, when earlier it was necessary to click on the layer a couple of clicks and set up the effects, so now you can do it right from the “Sort panel”.

On the timeline, by the way, you can also change the color. All the same function.

When we select “Name”, we can search for the layer by entering key letters. Pretty easy to work with layers.

Comparing windows "Image" with CS3

We see that some functions have been added.
And by the way, as we see, in comparison with CS3, the “Type” was added.

Separately, from Adobe

Adobe is working on several prototype functions that may be available in the new version. One of these functions is the correction of blurred photos. It allows you to restore the clarity of a blurred photo. Using a complex algorithm that analyzes the photo and creates the so-called "core blur". This core contains information about the trajectory of the camera during shooting and, thanks to sophisticated calculation algorithms, allows you to restore the frame:
I look forward to this feature.
By the way, effects and clipping mask can now be applied to groups.

When will the full version be released?
