Most modern smartphones come with processors based on the ARMv7 architecture . Mozilla was very important for the performance of Firefox Mobile , so from the very beginning they were guided by the latest processors, leaving 60% of potential mobile Firefox users behind (as of October 2011, approximately 58% of Android devices were still running on outdated ARMv6).

But Mozilla still worked on the experimental version for ARMv6, but since January 2011 the version for ARMv6 was no longer supported , as the number of failures was enormous and there were no resources to eliminate them. The team focused on working with ARMv7.

After updating the development team, the problem of supporting ARMv6 has ceased to seem so complicated. They also noticed that there are still a huge number of devices in the world using ARMv6. As a result, the team finally decided to solve the main problems with ARMv6, so that Firefox Mobile could work on this version of the processor architecture. But Mozilla will still be working on performance.
