2GIS Online + Traffic jams: more convenient, more informative
2GIS Online updated once again! The March update introduces several useful changes.
Firstly, the company’s operating hours in the directory are now displayed in a simpler and more convenient form. Previously, users were given a table with the organization’s work schedule for the entire week, even if this schedule was the same on all days. The new view allowed us to abandon it, except for the most difficult cases. According to the statistics of 2GIS, companies working daily on the same schedule - 30%, and companies having a lunch break - 9%. Almost 95% of organizations have no more than three modes of operation (Mon-Fri, Sat, Sun). Thus, in most cases, the new form of presentation is more convenient than the old schedule.
In addition, there were tips to the time of the organizations . Thanks to them, you can see if the organization is working at the moment, and if not, how soon it will start doing it. We also took into account lunch breaks and weekends: directly on the organization's card, you can see that lunch ends after 15 minutes, or that today is a weekend and the institution is closed.

And secondly, the service “Jams” was updated and got a couple of interesting features.
From now on 2GIS Traffic jams are able to show statistical information on traffic congestion , depending on the time of day and day of the week. By default, it still shows the current situation in the city (“Now” mode), and the new functionality is available when switching to “Normal” mode. For example, if you would like to know how things are with traffic jams in the city on Tuesdays at 8 am, then you should use the “Normally” mode. At the bottom of the traffic jam control, the time of the last update of traffic information is now shown.

In addition, 2GIS Traffic jams now show information about the average speed of traffic on the section of the street that the mouse pointer is pointing at.
At the moment, the service "Jams" is available at 2GIS Online for Novosibirsk. The plans include the implementation of “Traffic jams” in the 2GIS mobile version and the geographical development of the service.
Another nice addition - now in 2GIS Online, you can search for an organization by their phone number or website address . Search by phone number is performed in the case of entering a sequence of more than 4 digits in the "What" field. This can help in a situation where you need to know which organization the call came from if the number is unfamiliar to you. A search at the address of the site may be convenient, for example, in order to look at the points of delivery of goods from online stores on the map.
