10 prohibited places on Google Maps

Some places cannot be seen on Google Maps for "security reasons". Their images on the map are blurred and distorted. Here is a selection of ten such locations from Mashable .

1. Royal residence , the Netherlands - a complex of buildings belonging to the royal family:

2. Buffalo Niagara International Airport , it can not be seen in detail with increasing scale:



3. Tantauco National Park , Chile. Private reserve where many endangered species live. It can be seen only as a marker on the map:



4. Artificial reservoir on Lake Kiyovi in South Carolina, USA. The reservoir serves the energy company Duke:



5. Unknown piece of surface in Siberia , Russia. Part of the tundra near Alaska:



6. Airport Minami Torishima , Japan. The only airport on the island of Minami Torishima, painted white. Now it is used by naval forces:



7. Building Michael Aaf , Utah, USA. Zone of a military test site where biological and chemical weapons are being tested:
