Last year, Sony released its first e-reader (Sony PRS-500), created using electronic paper. This product was quite successful in commercial terms, so it would be strange if Sony did not continue the line of new devices. Not so long ago, information about the new "book" Sony PRS-505 appeared on the web.

According to reports of various information resources, the first mention (even with a description of some technical characteristics) was found on the
Abt Electronics website. But, apparently, under pressure from Sony, the news was removed before the official announcement of the product.
However, some details still managed to find out. So, the device will receive a new design, it will be equipped with a 6-inch screen, USB interface for communication with a computer and slots for SD cards and MS Duo. In addition, the Sony PRS-505 will be integrated with the ability to play music in several common formats. The battery (the volume is not yet known) will be enough for updating 7500 pages.
Released e-book Sony PRS-505 is still unknown. As for the cost, according to preliminary data, it will remain at the same level (as for the PRS-500) and will be $ 299.
