Synology® introduced DiskStation DS412 +

Another new feature introduced today by Synology to users is the 4-disc NAS Plus series - Synology DS412 + , for small and medium-sized businesses. This is the first model of the 2012 model year among 4 desktop disk drives, replacing the DS411 + II .

High system performance allows demonstrating significant results when exchanging data: reading data at a speed of 205.68 MB / s, and writing - at 182.66 MB / s using a RAID 5 storage array and activated by the aggregation function of network ports. Compared with its predecessor, speed indicators improved by 85% and 73% respectively.

Synology DS412 + has high reliability and the ability to work for a long time without rebooting, which is achieved by a combination of passive processor cooling technology and an integrated fan duplication system (two 92 mm fans are used). DS412 + is also equipped with two network ports, in case of failure of one of them or a network failure, and supports “hot swap” of disks, which together guarantee continuous data availability.
