Unconference on new media, blogs and Web 2.0

October 13-14 (Saturday-Sunday) 2007 in Kiev will host BlogCamp 2007 - a “non-conference” for the CIS and Baltic countries on new media, blogs, web 2.0 and everything connected with it. Habrahabr.ru is an information partner of BlogCamp.

Kiev Blogcamp will be held in the format of "BarCamp" (BarCamp), which originated in 2005 in Silicon Valley. The rules of barcamp are simple: everyone can come, but if you want to participate, you have to contribute (make a presentation, hold a discussion, announce an event on your blog, make a video of the conference, help with the organization).

In order to take part in the Kiev Blogcamp, you should register on the site blogcamp.com.ua (in the section "Participants").

In September (obviously) there will be a competition for those who wish to visit Blogcamp from the CIS and Baltic countries for scholarships that compensate for travel and accommodation expenses. The non-Kyivites participants will be accommodated in apartments from their Kiev colleagues and in hotels.

In the morning, on the first day of Blogcamp, an event schedule will be formed: speakers will have to enter their session into a free cell. At the same time will be held up to 6 sessions. It is assumed that the majority of presentations will be held in Russian and 20-25% - in English.
