Synology® introduced DiskStation DS112

Last week, Synology introduced a new version of the youngest NAS - DS112j , now the company is pleased to present an updated model of the “Standard” series among 1-disk devices - Synology DS112 , for use in offices and workgroups.



Synology DS112 features a new body design and an updated design. It has two additional side vents and a 60mm fan for effective cooling of the system, while the noise level does not exceed 18.4 dBA, it does not exceed the level of a whisper.



Due to its energy-saving design, the DS112 consumes no more than 13.2 watts in working condition, and when the disks go into sleep mode, the power consumption drops to 5.04 watts.



Synology DS112 NAS is equipped with:

• 1.6 GHz processor
• RAM DDR3 256MB
• Two USB3.0 connectors and one eSATA
• Port Gigabit LAN
• 4TB hard disk support (sold separately)
• WOL support (Wake on LAN) - remote enable via network
• Maximum number of connected IP - cameras - 8 *

Like all NAS, Synology DS112 is powered by DiskStation Manager OS. The new version of DSM 4.0 has a number of useful features that significantly increase the efficiency of working with the system and simplify the execution of tasks.



The novelty will enter the Russian market at the beginning of April. The preliminary estimated price is 9,400 rubles (excluding the cost of hard drives).
