As we already
wrote once , API 2GIS switches to a daily update. But if earlier it affected only Novosibirsk, now Moscow and Yekaterinburg have added to the list of cities. And this is only the beginning - in the future, the rest of the cities will be transferred to the daily update, but first of all, those in which the
Flamp review service
works .
Of course, this will affect all products that work on API 2GIS, including both our own
Flash and
2GIS online version , and partner projects. And this means that upon learning about the opening of a new institution, it can immediately be found in 2GIS Online, Flamp review service and many other online resources.
For example, residents of Moscow can now find out the location, contact details and opening hours of the recently opened
Mercure Arbat Hotel
Moscow or visit the new
Musical Theater .
Those from Yekaterinburg who want to dance can easily find the new school
Barrio Flamenco or
Capoera Cordao de Ouro Ural , where they teach capoeira!
To estimate the magnitude of the monthly changes, we give a few dry figures. Thus, over the last month, 6,750 new companies appeared in the directory of Moscow, while another 57,308 updated their data. The directory of Yekaterinburg was replenished with 1 101 new companies, the data of 16 344 companies were updated.

Perhaps some users are wondering - how does such a quantity of data fall into the directory and how is such a high level of information reliability maintained (which is about 97.5%)? And the answer is - this is the merit of our distributed call center and employees working directly in the city. In total, about 650 operators and information specialists are working on the creation of 2GIS directories.
This is how the information gathering process looks like.Impressive, isn't it? The more remarkable is the fact that all this data volume can be involved in your project if you use API 2GIS.
But 2GIS is not only a reference book, it is also a map. It is not updated every day so far, but every month, but it is much more often than in most map services. And the handbook and the map together provide even more opportunities. So do not hesitate to use the API 2GIS - you probably will not be disappointed.
