Monthly boycott by pirates of media corporations

While copywriters are lobbying for tougher laws, their opponents are inventing new ways of fighting: from March 1, citizens around the world began a boycott of media corporations in the framework of the Black March action. Apparently, the main coordinator of this action in Russia is the Communist Party of Russia (Pirate Party of Russia). In addition, the Progress Revolutionary Directorate declares March as the month of the legitimate DDOS of state bodies.

The Pirate Party of Russia calls on its supporters to support this action and for a month to refrain from buying games, films, music, books, magazines, as well as going to the movies. The more participants there are, the more noticeable the damage will be to the profits of media corporations lobbying for anti-piracy laws censoring our life on the Internet.
In addition, the pirates want to make this March "black" not only for the media industry. The Pirate Party of Russia announced the beginning of a social DDOS of government bodies - a campaign to send inquiries and requests to the websites of government agencies.

For example:
  1. To the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation: On what basis is the “tax on blanks” levied a 1% fee on media in favor of Nikita Mikhalkov's private foundation?
  2. To the Government of the Russian Federation: When will the issue of transferring the cultural heritage of the Soviet era, created with taxpayers' money, into the public domain be resolved?
  3. To the State Duma: the requirement to resolve the issue of non-commercial file sharing and liberalize articles 146, 147, 180 of the Criminal Code.

As possible targets for attacks, the pirates suggest:
  1. President of the Russian Federation
  2. State Duma of the Russian Federation www.duma.gov.ru/representative/addresses/leave
  3. Government of the Russian Federation www.government.ru/online
  4. E-democracy system e-democratia.ru
Appeals, which will be signed by more than 50 people, will be issued and sent to the addressees in paper form, which means they will be obliged to respond within 30 days.
By the way, on this site you can support the initiative "against copywriting." In the basement there is a list of links.

PS The author does not consider such methods of struggle effective due to bad advertising. However, the information was interesting to me, and I believe that the article has its right to publish on Habré.
PPS The article is a minimally revised copy of the pirates' website. However, in the absence of other information on the topic, I don’t know what to do so that on the one hand I don’t stupidly copy, but on the other hand I don’t stick jaundiced gag.
