Hooray! They waited! NetApp FAS2240-2 arrived at our NetApp Competence Center .
NetApp FAS2240-2 - the new model, which became the oldest in the younger line of FAS2000. Therefore, its appearance as a demo stand will be interesting to those who were looking for an intermediate option between FAS2XXX and FAS3XXX. Speaking of price-quality ratio, FAS2240 - works like FAS3210, but costs like FAS2040 - and this is a key advantage of this storage system.
For this reason, on the FAS2240 model, IT-GRAD formed ready-made sets of equipment for virtualization. The capacity of this model is enough to freely build the entire infrastructure of the company for up to 500 users .

In this post the main idea is that FAS2240 is available for the test! You can conduct load testing of storage systems directly in the Competence Center of IT-GRAD or get the equipment to your site.

On the front side, you can see 24 600 GB SAS disks, which in a rack occupy 2U:
On the reverse side, 2 controllers with 2 power supplies are visible:
In our configuration, each of the controllers is equipped with 4 1GB ports:
All protocols are already included in the package !!!
And the attached documentation will allow FAS2240 to switch in its system even to someone who was not previously familiar with NetApp products.
Now the storage system is undergoing tests in our Competence Center - we will soon post the results of the tests performed.
