Screensaver = update?

You start the system and the first thing you have to deal with is the updaters. Yes, it's cool that vulnerabilities and bugs in my software are fixed with a minimum lag. But why does this happen when the computer boots?

I use Quicktime only a little more often than I see his reports about updates. More precisely, about updates Safari, which was delivered at the same time and is used rarely, rarely, for tests. And I open PDF files less often than Acrobat Reader is updated.

I am not against updates. But why they start at the time of loading and eat resources at the moment when I want it the least?

I understand that software manufacturers are unlikely to listen to MHO, but I would be a little happier if the updateers were a bit more polite. This is not a matter of some kind of update, but the fact that the updaters start with a pack, pushing each other with their elbows and teeth, gnawing system resources. Moreover, not only each other, but also the browser and Skype, which I am trying to run.

Example one. Friendly.

Run not at system startup, but either before the software is launched or after 10 + N * rand () minutes after the start.

An example of the second. Even more friendly.

Run 15 minutes after the start, if the average load is below a certain level and the last three minutes there was no excess load.

The third example. Very friendly.

In addition, the friendly updater still does not climb in the moments when I type something on the keyboard.

Fourth example. Just magical.

I moved away from the computer - the screensaver was launched. Guys - this is your time. Quickly download your gigabytes of updates, shovel the registry, sing and dance. I will come, but everything has been renewed, glitters and shines - beauty!

Critical updates

It is clear that there should be exceptions for critical updates. But, dear software manufacturers, respect my desire to get a quick start to the system. Thank.

Ps. Now I will send an article for publication and go take a safari and aytyuns. Upd: Done
