Synology® introduced DiskStation DS112j

Almost silent network drive with low power consumption and OS DSM 4.0
Synology Inc. announced the launch of DiskStation DS112j , an available single-disk NAS server. This model is truly economical: both at the stage of acquisition and during its operation. Energy-saving technology and quiet operation, make it the best choice for home and small office. The purpose of the DS112j is to create on its base a “personal cloud” and a storage center for multimedia collections.

Thanks to the new housing design, the DS112j is quieter and less heated. A large-diameter fan (60mm) with reduced rotational speed and a special distribution of ventilation openings contribute to heat dissipation and reduce the noise level to 17.1 dBA, which is lower than the usual background sound in the library.

Synology DS112j is equipped with:
